THE F&M Mentorship Program

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster County, Franklin & Marshall
College, and the School District of Lancaster have been in partnership
for the past 5 years.

Starting this October, we will introduce the new
F&M/Reynolds after-school program.
Franklin & Marshall students, adults from the campus & the local community are invited to enter into mentoring relationships with students from Reynolds Middle School. Each match is a one-to-one relationship.
"Bigs" will meet with their "Littles" once per week at an after-school program, held at Reynolds. We’ll have games, crafts, snacks, and all sorts
of activities, for an hour and a half.  An agency caseworker is present during the program and provides structured activities for each match.
Once per month, Bigs will take their Littles out for an activity on their
own, outside the after-school program.  During individual outings,
matches can choose activities they enjoy together—watch a movie,
go to the park, bake cookies, etc.  This is time to get to know
one another on a deeper level.
